The library files comes in a compress or non-compressed version. You should use compressed version in your production system, either directly link them to the project site or download to your server and link from there.
The primary reason those samples were written that way is to avoid maintaining two different set of sample files, one set for the full script and one for the compressed script. It's for development and testing purpose. If you looked at the earlier version of the libs, you may see many sample*_packed.html sample files that must be synced with the sample*.html files each time the sample is changed.
