I am following an example available here http://maps.forum.nu/gm_weather_radar.html to create a page that shows a series of gif images to make an overlay movie. I cannot give the link to my site as it is currently only an internal test site (I work for the gov't), but I am using essentially the same code. Note the page creator (Marcelo) has disabled the animation in internet explorer (IE) because it is "too heavy". I have gotten the animation to work in IE without problems, but the MTimeControl Gcontrol (which creates a series of highlighted boxes with the time displayed in them) does not show up in IE. It works fine in firefox, gchrome and Opera. I am using the same code as Marcelo for the MTimeControl function.
I am fairly new to the maps API and have only figured out how to do this at all thanks to Marcelo's script example. It may be that I am missing something obvious, but I imagine that Marcelo would have figured it out by now if it was obvious? I would also like to add a mouseover or onclick function to the frame time containers so that a user could choose which frame they want to see when the animation is stopped. I would appreciate any ideas or links to point me in the right direction to do this.
