I have written some JS that enlarges a small map on mouseover, then uses map.setUIToDefault() to add the usual controls. No problem there.
On mouseout, when the map shrinks back to a smaller size, I've been unable to remove those controls - there's no "map.setUIToNone()" method or equivalent that I can see.
