Hi.. I hope someone can help, I'm at a loss to some extent.
Here's the problem. My company has a dealer locator for one of it's
web pages that currently does NOT use Google Mapping. (This can be
viewed here:
http://www.besthf.com/bcpublic/dealerLocator.do?catalogType=RG&selectedAreaCode=812&option=default)
However, they want to integrate Google mapping into it, and I have
some experience with it having implemented it for another site (http://
www.econcf.com/empactPublic/showroom.do?location=map).
But, instead of it working with a single map on the one page (second
link), they want to have a div open up (when the user clicks the "map
it" link) under the dealer listing (first link) and the map placed in
there. So that it looks like:
City Name Dealer Name Dealer phone
Dealer Addy Email
More Dealer information
Map It Even more dealer information

| Map
Div |

I can sorta get the div toggle to work (Right now it's only in Fire
Fox for some reason), but have yet to figure out how to draw the
maps. And of course, they all would have to be drawn dynamically from
the database (some area codes may only have 5 dealers, and others 50).
So, has anyone done anything like this? I've seen where some people
have two maps per page, and each is constructed separately in two
"rigid" scripts, however, I dont think that will work for my case, and
I've yet to find something that looks workable online.
Thanks for any clues,
-TerriLyn
