Sketchup Model is a 3D model created using google sketchup: http://sketchup.google.com, which is a great tool for creating any sort of object, from prototypes to buildings.
A few cities have made sketchup models of all of their buildings available for viewing in google earth, which really enhances the flyover experience when you can see actual buildings as high as they actually are. Here's a blog post about this happening: http://www.gearthblog.com/blog/archives/2009/01/vancouver_in_3d_in_google_earth.html A link on how to contribute to google earth models: http://sketchup.google.com/3dwh/citiesin3d/index.html An example of how to place a model in google earth can be found here: http://www.aecbytes.com/tipsandtricks/2006/issue10-sketchup.html Hope that helps!
