The example that you gave us didn't have any such modification. If you 
modify the route on maps.google.com and *then* grab the link you'll see 
that the added waypoint is saved into the URL. Something like this:

&saddr=delta+oh&daddr=41.587972,-83.970051+to:swanton+oh

Which you can then implement as

gdir.load("from: Delta OH to: 41.587972,-83.970051 to: Swanton OH");
