A given lat and long always indicates the same point on the earth's surface and will not change. Addresses can actually change - all the properties on a street could be renumbered. Getting a lat/long from a geocoder is NOT an exact science, very often the geocoder is guessing. Say, which side of the street a property is on. Or perhaps it doesn't know the street at all, and guesses from the postal code.
