If you can handle a rough estimate using nothing but the zip code, you could purchase a license to a zip code centroid database and join your address file with it to get at least something. You'll need to geographically locate your addresses with a latitude and longitude coordinate to do anything with the maps, so that would be the place to start. If this isn't an option, as you indicate, then you're going to have a really hard time doing anything with maps.
