I have 3 geo query examples, 2 return accurate results (first two) but there is no reason for the 3rd to be inaccurate. The lat/lon used in the 3rd reverse geo query is close to the lat/lon of the actual location of "Truro, NS, Canada" and the address element returned by the 3rd query "Truro, NS, Canada" is identical to the address of the 1st query. Even though the address is associated with an accuracy it would make more sense to me for google to return the most accurate version of the address they have or possibly all versions to allow a choice. I suppose this is more of a rant now rather then a question but here are the queries:
1) The words "Truro, NS, Canada" http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?output=xml&oe=utf8&sensor=tru_or_false&key=ABQIAAAALG4NcU6KpQYAovquJftHQBT2yXp_ZAY8_ufC3CFXhHIE1NvwkxRXNDkCk_wY7KxMFHy1SZf3Ih9WAQ&q=Truro,%20NS,%20Canada 2) The actual lat/lon of Truro http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?output=xml&oe=utf8&sensor=tru_or_false&key=ABQIAAAALG4NcU6KpQYAovquJftHQBT2yXp_ZAY8_ufC3CFXhHIE1NvwkxRXNDkCk_wY7KxMFHy1SZf3Ih9WAQ&q=45.3649590,-63.2798460 3) A lat/lon close to Truro: http://maps.google.com/maps/geo?output=xml&oe=utf8&sensor=tru_or_false&key=ABQIAAAALG4NcU6KpQYAovquJftHQBT2yXp_ZAY8_ufC3CFXhHIE1NvwkxRXNDkCk_wY7KxMFHy1SZf3Ih9WAQ&q=45.3271315647698,-63.4291674593077 Thanks for the help - Craig On Apr 30, 11:21 am, curious_reverse_geocoder <[email protected]> wrote: > Sorry "curious_reverse_geocoder" was me. > > I do only have a lat/lon initially to determine the location.
