You can create your own tiles and display them with GMaps API. But there is no way to add your data for use in GDirections.
You can add your data to OpenStreetMap: "free editable map of the whole world." Look at www.openstreetmap.org . There is also routing API: http://developers.cloudmade.com/projects/show/routing-http-api . I suppose it should use your added data.
