I've fixed the xhtml errors and ran a full validation. I've been visitig a few other sites with google maps lately and I get the same problem as on my site, I think it must be browser specific. I'll have a good luck into it and also try to get the map to load after the page has loaded, at least the rest of the page will load then even if the map doesn't.
