Try accessing one of the Google documentation examples with your version 
of Opera.
   http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/examples/map-simple.html

If that doesn't work, then it looks like your copy of Opera is broken or 
infected.

If the Google example does work, then there's something wrong elsewhere 
in your page. Perhaps you're including other javascript that hijacks the 
window.onload event if the browser is Opera.
