If you register with http://... then the key will work for https://...

If you register with https://... then the key will only work for 
https://..., it won't work for http://...

In both cases, if you're not using a Premiere key, the users will see a 
warning on the https page because the API code is insecure.

[Disclaimer: That's the way the Javascript key validation works. It's 
possible that the server side key validation might be slightly 
different, but don't have any way to test that.]
