The requirement is to only provide the Static API one pin (for the center point) and then calculate the decired zoom level for verification at launch. The other requirement is to make it possible to override the value in the future. Letting Google control it is not an option which is why I am looking for an option to calculate at the server. The zoom level will need to show our reprecentation of the geographical area and not Googles.
In the server side we will take into consideration 30-500 markers, but only display the calculated center point. It would have been great if we could pass a bounding box to calculate the zoom level.
