Hi I'm having trouble in getting the local services (e.g. libraries, pizza) via Google Maps API. I know there are two ways to use Geocoding, but it seems only capable to search for an address, not e.g. string "Oulu, Finland, Pizza". Then there is this GoogleBar which is one step closer, but it fails in the fact that it requires text input.
So to give some background information, I am designing a map service on a touch screen display, which doesn't have a keyboard. Therefore I need to access the local services without requiring text input. The searches would be hard coded of course. I need the rich API to mangle with the UI, so the iframe solution is not sufficient.
