This is a question about JQuery's mapping add-on rather than the Maps API. However: when you use the marker manager, does addMarker merely add the marker to the manager? Do you need to refresh the marker manager in order to show the marker on the map? How do you do that in JQuery? Have you tried that? (Things would be easier if you linked to a page which didn't work!
