The error we are seeing is as of last week or so when we try to set up
a new API key for a new domain, we recieve the following error

"The Google Maps API server rejected your request. This could be
because the API key used on this site was registered for a different
web site. You can generate a new key for this web site at %1$s"

notice the %1$s where "http://code.google.com/apis/maps/signup.html";
should be.

the url is http://123fit.com/locations/sacramento-california

all of our keys registered before last week are unaffected. seems to
only be the new ones.
weve tried it on other servers and different google accounts, still
same error.
