I have been getting 404 even on google.com/maps site... I attached a simple map to my website following the guidelines and still I get 404 errors. so there must be something wrong other than what you guys explain here.
http://www.vallartarestaurants.com/map_g.php?id=95 you can see it there, if you zoom all the way down you start getting the 404 errors...
