There isn't one because Google don't think there needs to be. Have a look at sprites. http://groups.google.com/group/Google-Maps-API/search?group=Google-Maps-API&q=sprite&qt_g=Search+this+group -- but be aware that it's still not documented and there's no guarantee the functionality is still available or will continue to be. But it's a better method than building your own CSS for the DOM.
