I have a (fairly complicated) Maps/AppEngine application that I'm using to visualise historical weather observations from ships: http://imma.oldweather.org It could be faster, but it works.
I want to use it for Arctic exploration data, where the Mercator projection in Maps is not great, so I'd like to use the Earth API plugin via map.addMapType(G_SATELLITE_3D_MAP); with maps version 2.159 this works a bit - placemarks work mostly, overlays not at all; so I was delighted to see that version 2.160 was going to remove these limitations. But when I try 2.160 the Maps stuff still works as before, but on switching to the Earth plugin I get a error "Error calling method on NPObject!" And none of my data displays in the plugin. (Sometimes I also get "The Google Earth plugin had an internal error, try reloading the page". I'm using Firefox 3.0.11 and Safari 4 public beta (same problem in both) on OSX 10.5.7. Any advise greatfully received. Thanks, Philip --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
