The web view of the Group does automatic translations! Some are a bit idiosyncratic, but it works most of the time.

So you could try asking at http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Chrome?hl=en -- make sure you say you are asking about Google Earth view **within Chrome** and not in the Earth application.
