I bet you are using FF3. I've noticed the same thing and was searching here first before submitting an "issue." Try this, set your map version from 2 to 2.153 and see if that fixes it.
I'd previously submitted an issue where the map overlay obscured the map controls in FF3 and it was fixed in 2.155 (there is no v 2.154). I'm guessing that fix broke something else.
