I’m using SSL to display maps within my web page using https://maps-api-ssl.google.com/maps... as the JavaScript file. We needed to do this as we are displaying data to our customers using SSL and we didn’t want a message to pop up with the “This page contains both secure and nonsecure items” as this has the habit for scaring people.
All works well with the SSL version of the maps, but we also display the Google Search Bar using enableGoogleBar(). What we have found is we still get the warning message and if we select we don’t want to display nonsecure items the Google Search Bar stops working. Has anyone had any experience with this and ideas of how to solve the problem?
