I disabled Firebug and the site is now working correctly for me. However the client who reported it almost certainly does not have Firebug installed... though this does mean that I can just email him back with a Could Not Reproduce and quickly check he isn't using some odd add-ons. If anyone does manage to get it to happen on a FF install without using Firebug then let me know, otherwise I'll chalk it up to being an extension issue.

Thanks for pointing out that the map doesn't load in FF2, haven't checked the site in FF2 for a while so will go get a Portable version.
