And if you have loads, the Ordnance Survey allows free use of [Windows] software to do bulk conversion, Grid InQuest. See http://www.qgsl.com/?product=gridinquest You can get it by clicking on the word "registering" in the third paragraph on the page. The link isn't obvious, and ends up at http://www.qgsl.com/login/register_user.php Yes, I use it. It's a bit clunky but is the best method I've found so far for converting files containing hundreds of grid references.
