I have a map where the user determines a location by clicking on the
map. I would like to assign the nearest possible street view to the
user defined location.

Currently the user might click off a street in which case there is no
street view associated with the position. Is it possible to somehow
assign the nearest street view lat long to the user defined location
so that a view is returned when using those coordinates rather than a
white screen or associated error message.

summary:
1) user clicks on screen
2) location defined based on user click
3) location associated with nearest street view lat long
4) nearest street view lat long used as link to street view

Thank you in advance for any advice or assistance you are able to
provide

John
