I am trying to determine if Google Maps API will work for my situation or if I need to use another option.
Google Maps for Mobile has the ability to continue to function in the event that connection to the internet is lost. I would like that functionality to work on a laptop with a standard web app. What I have tried so far is to display a map, zoom to a certain level (arbitrary), disconnect from the internet, attempt to navigate to map to zoom out/other location just viewed/ doesn't really matter. When I do this the map is unusable. Is there a way to have the map stay in a usable state? Obviously no new map tiles will be downloaded and that is okay, just usable with whatever data was downloaded before being disconnected. Thanks in advance, Curt --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
