I am in the process of learning web programming and am very new to Java and Google API. If anyone could help me learn how to code my map to show a small text box, which shows the name of the marker, when mousing over the marker (same as what happens when you map anything in Google maps) I would appreciate it greatly. (I am not using the mymaps feature, I have my API key and am trying to learn the java code to make my map do this on my website - link here http://eatwichita.com/map.html). I have managed to code my markers to show info when moused over, but I do not like that it appears in a gigantic bubble, I prefer the small text box.
I am also interested to know how I can change my marker from the big 'teardrop' default type icon to the tiny red circle that Google uses when mapping large searches like this http://maps.google.com/maps?q=restaurants+wichita+ks. Thanks a ton to whoever can give me some direction on these points!
