Found it! The reason it didn't work was because the link to the Gmaps api key in the head of the HTML file was linking to an older version of the API key. Now I'm just linking to verion 2.X.
Are there any other implications I should be aware of when linking to version 2.X instead of a defined version (say 2.69)? Cheers, bram.
