Hi,

I'm a total n00b when it comes to the Google Maps API.

I'm trying to create a Service Area map for a website. Basically, we
have organizations which cover specific zip codes. We want to create
a map in which the end-user will click on one of our organization's
names, and then the map will display a shaded area corresponding to
the zip codes that this particular organization covers.

I've been looking through the API documentation, and searching the
internet far and wide, and have found some ideas. I've noticed some
sites doing similar things by using kml files, which I think I can do
but as I've never done it before, I'd really appreciate some tips or
guidance. Or, if there's a better way to do this, I'd be happy to
hear about that as well.

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

-Dave-
