Richard - I've replied to Issue 1243 with another suggestion for a workaround - using a custom overlay like MarkerLite instead of GMarker. That assumes the issue is with GMarker as opposed to addOverlay, but I believe that to be the case based on my investigation of the issue so far.
Bratliff - Where is your issue reported?
