Not everything possible in the KML format is supported in the various
things that can accept KML input.

<refreshInterval> tags might be completely ignored by My Maps.  Or,
they might be acted upon, but the refresh will only fetch a cached
copy of the KML already stored in Google's servers - effectively doing
nothing new.   I really don't know - what do you see happening?  (We
can't see your mystery map)

Your interval of 2 seconds is probably far too quick for any web-based
service anyway.
