Resolving of this issue would be inside PHP script of http://hillsbvhbq.facebook.joyent.us/phpsqlajax_genxml.php maybe try to populate XML out by using PHP echo function - works for me fine and I know what I am outputing out :)
And debugging was easy ... Use the Source, Luke :) - This means, I looked into the source of facebook app, found iframe, pasted address of this iframe to new tab, looked to source of this new tab, found in source how do you load markers to map - since I know you used the example, searching was easy. Pasted url of this PHP ( phpsqlajax_genxml.php ) to new tab and saw a error...
