I suppose it's possible that the :port handing in Earth is different from that in Maps.
With Google Maps you can register http://gpstelcomip.ath.cx and the result will also work for http://gpstelcomip.ath.cx:8180 I don't know what the rules are for Google Earth key validation. If you registered your key without using the :8180, try registering with it, and vice versa. On the other hand, two people have claimed to see similar problem without mentioning that they were using a :port, but they failed to provide an example page that exhibits the problem. Google have failed to reproduce the problem, so the Issue has just been sitting there for the last 11 months. I suggest that you try creating a demonstrator that doesn't require a password and posting details to http://code.google.com/p/gmaps-api-issues/issues/detail?id=607 If you can also provide details about whether the :8180 is a significant factor, that should also help to get the problem dealt with sooner. [Probably not a good idea to post a demo password to the Issues system, because (a) it's public and (b) you'd need to leave the password active for a long time, because the Google programmers can take a long time to get round to investigating Issues.] -- Mike Williams http://econym.org.uk/gmap --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
