Nope. If you don't get an answer it may well be because no-one has an
idea.

The bounds supplied in a geocode response are not the bounds of the
street, they are the bounds which will make a suitable map.

Getting the ends of a street depends on that data being available. For
most countries, it isn't. There is some data available in the US, and
you can geocode junctions like "5th ave and 30th st, new york".
However to get the length of a block you need to know that the click
was on 30th Street between 5th Avenue and 6th Avenue in order that you
can geocode the right junctions.

You *may* be able to use GDirections to work out where junctions are,
I suppose. From your click point, get directions to somewhere else and
analyse the result. There will be a turn at a junction. However it's
not easy to work out where "somewhere else" is.
