Hi, I know this has been done numerous times, but I was just wondering if people could give any suggestions as to how to associate an elevation profile for a plotted route in a google map. Just something I'm playing around with to try to do myself (non commercial, I'm just trying to lean more about mapping).
I can plot waypoints and have these waypoints link to say http://www.earthtools.org/timezone/<latitude>/<longitude> to return the altitude at that point. But I don't know the elevation of points in between to create an accurate profile. Are the any other glaringly obvious ways to do this that I am maybe missing?!
