I have added a crosshair to Google Maps using instructions found on
the web. It works by overlaying an image of a crosshair on top of
Google maps.

See my website at http://tinyurl.com/ncogom . Note the crosshair at
the centre of the map.

The problem with this solution is the area where the crosshair is is
not clickable or draggable. This is especially an issue when there is
an marker at the centre, at the same position as the crosshair.

Does anyone know a viable solution or practical workaround to this
problem?

I read somewhere before that it's possible to pass on the click event
from the crosshair to the object underneath. I've searched around but
haven't found anything on this. Does anyone know how to do this?

Any help will be most gratefully received.
