Searching the Group should have brought up some advice. The error means that the script cannot interact with DOM elements correctly. It used to be very common, and generally caused by putting map script inside elements like tables. These days it's less frequent as the API has been adjusted to avoid it. Unfortunately since you won't tell us your url, there's not much in the way of specific advice we can give. The posting guidelines are there for good reasons.
