I can read Russian although I don't understand it. This "Россия Москва
Троицк" is Troitsk, Moscow, Russia (English addresses go outwards to
the largest entity last).

In that thread, q=Berlin is asked about, and why it only returns
Berlin in Germany; to get Berlins in the US, you need to specify
q=Berlin+US.

I guess that the Troitsk in Moscow region is not the first choice when
you ask for "Troitsk, Russia" and you need to narrow down the search a
little. Having said that, wildcards with * used to work. I don't know
why it isn't now.
