Hi, I have a question about volume of requests and click counting for the Maps API. I have a Windows Service which is reading XML files and calling the GM API to reverse geocode a Lat/Lon value and provide an approximate address.
However this is potentially going to generate high volumes of requests, as the Windows Service will be used across multiple sites (hosted on the same server). I can't give exact numbers yet as we're yet to go live but my questions are: - 1) Has anyone done something similar? If so did you have any similar problems? 2) Does an API call from a Windows service count as a 'click' in terms of my 24hr usage? I'm anxious that the service will start returning 602 errors and even block our IP, as the source of the requests will be our server and not the users browser. For a sample of what we're doing, see: http://demo.hand-e-pix.com/getawaygroom/ViewMaps.aspx?IncidentID=90 Thanks, JC --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Maps API" group.
