Check out:

So this really has me. Yes, I know if you're using street view with
the API much of the time the actual address of the property will give
you an incorrect street view location - a few houses off. No big deal,
you can just substitute a false address and voila you got the right
house.

Well here's what I really don't get in that one particular example
(all the other houses I have on the site work just fine), the address
of the property is 110 Illinois, South Bend, IN. The house you see in
streetview on the page is NOT the right house. However, if you look at
the source code, the address 120 North Illinois St, South Bend, IN is
being sent to the geocoder. If you go to maps.google.com and type in
120 North Illinois St, South Bend, IN(
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=120+North+Illinois+St,+South+Bend,+IN&sll=41.675925,-86.300955&sspn=0.011556,0.016694&ie=UTF8&ll=41.675925,-86.300933&spn=0.011556,0.016694&z=16&iwloc=A
) you'll see a street view image come up corresponding to that address
(maps.google.com street view link->
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=120+North+Illinois+St,+South+Bend,+IN&sll=41.677887,-86.264234&sspn=0.011555,0.016694&ie=UTF8&z=16&iwloc=A&layer=c&cbll=41.67592,-86.300962&panoid=-IcEpZhR1i2PIZBJlmzifg&cbp=12,90,,0,5.
)The grey, 2 story house slightly right of center in the
maps.google.com streetview is the correct house.

So why in the world is the geocoder giving me the wrong location? I
experimented with other nearby addresses, and no matter which address
in this vicinity I use I always get the same street view image. 120
North Illinois St is also an exact street view address of an street
view image. So is 114 North Illinois St and if that is fed to the
geocoder still the same streetview image as now pops up.

One possibility is that from where the current image is to where the
house is the street switches from south cardinality to north
cardinality. Could this in some way be a problem? Or could this be a
possible bug in the API?

Thank you for your help.
