What do you want to define as "square"?

If you simply plot a square which has sides of ten degrees (say) then
the map projection will almost certainly make that a rectangle.

If you draw a square on the surface of the globe and produce a map of
that, the edge furthest from the equator will be longer than the other
side and you will get a curved trapezium.

If you want a polygon which looks square when it's drawn on a map, you
need to bear in mind that the projection stretches the map towards the
poles, so the vertical distance on the map (stated in degrees for
GPolygon) will be less than the horizontal distance.
