OK, I give up! I just don't get it! Maybe you experts know the trick. Here's the problem:
I reproduced step after step what Keir kindly <a href="http:// googlemapsapi.blogspot.com/2008/02/creating-user-contributed-map-look- ma.html">suggested a while ago</a>: A user contributed map with no server side scripts. I was thinking of a "<a href="http:// www.headachemap.org" target="_blank">headachemap</a>". Well, maybe one day I'll get there, but at the moment I am stuck... Here's <a href="http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub? key=tL6wjRu0g9GjwdReetBwEsA&output=html" target="_blank">the resulting spreadsheet</a>. And that's what's driving me crazy: 1. If I just enter an adress, then press Locate and then Submit, without moving the marker at all, then the coordinates entered in the spreadsheet are of the form 33801438, -116543191. 2. On the other hand, if I DO move the marker, they are entered corectly as 33.80910545330383 -116.5336990356445 I tried a lot, but just couln'd figure out why this difference happens. I guess it must reside somewhere in the javascript code, but I just don't see it at all. Any hints? They would be very much appreciated! This bug (?) stops me from going further... I'm using a mac (10.5.8) and all the browsers available for it... thanks a million times!
