Hi all, I'm working on a map that will have markers for technicians at job sites. The problem starts in the beginning. I am currently using fake data just to make sure it works, and I cannot get custom markers (custom meaning ones generated with this link: http://google.com/chart?chst=d_map_pin_letter&chld=%20|FF0000|000000 ) to show up in Safari, Firefox, or Chrome. They show up fine in Internet Explorer.
I am linking directly to the Google generated icons, although they are not actual GIF or PNG files as you can see in the source code. Because they are not on the same server, could I be referencing it wrong in JavaScript? Here is a link to the map: http://wittenbach.com/maps/map2.html Our goal is to just change the color of the markers. First, determine red/green/blue by what type of technician it is, then determine brightness/intensity of that color based on how recent the check-in happened in minutes or hours. So if an electrical technician completed a job 30 minutes ago and it was his last check-in, there should be a bright red color marker. But if there was a computer technician who last checked in 5 hours ago, his marker should be a very dark blue.
