Bart, thanks for your help so far but... I've read everything five times and its really not clear. My app does use sensor data, but its when the user is not using sensor data (i.e. they want to know about somewhere else) that I use the geocoding api.
The sentences in question are "Use of the Google Maps API now requires that you indicate whether your application is using a sensor (such as a GPS locator) to determine the user's location" Well my application may do that, but it may not. It CAN use it, but I don't know if it has during the current session - I could find out if that was relevant. I know that it IS NOT using a sensor at the time of my call. then the instructions say "even if your device does not use a sensing device" Now we are talking about devices - my device has a sensing device, certainly - its a iPhone 3G or 3Gs. But again, at the time of the call, its unused. Any other opinions would be appreciated.
