Wow, thanks for your incredibly quick response! I was getting confused by looking at examples where the page object was given the same name as the javascript object. However, I have now changed
var mgr = new MarkerManager(map_canvas); to var mgr = new MarkerManager(map); and I still have the same problem although this time the error console reports 'd is undefined'. I really do appreciate you groups people helping me out, so thanks again.
