In my webpage I have a googlemap embedded with 150 markers. Each
marker has an even attached, when hovering over the infoWindow shows a
link to a html page.

The page (the map) takes about 3 seconds to load both in IE and in
Firefox. That's fine.

Once I click on one of the links within the infoWindow I am directed
to another page.
When I then click the back button on the browser, Firefox loads the
page (with the map) immediately... and it returns me to exactly where
I was. That is, the infoWindow is still showing on the page. Which is
fine.

However, in IE, it takes 3 secons again to show the page with the map
and it shows the original map, like it is rebuilding it. If I look in
fiddler for response time, it says that there are some private, no-
cache javascripts loading and the map tiles... but does not indicate
that it is taking 3 seconds, more like 0.5 seconds.

Is IE and Firefox caching is implemented differently, or why is when I
press the back button the pages load differently in IE and in Firefox.

Can anyone help?

Many thanks
