Thanks Rossko, I have gone back to basics now to try and sort this out.
http://www.latehotelroom4u.com/francemaptest.php This takes data from http://www.latehotelroom4u.com/francedata.json This is meant to be an exact copy of the markerclusterer on the Google API demo site http://gmaps-utility-library.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/markerclusterer/1.0/examples/advanced_example.html so all I have done is alter the key, the data file and made sure the links to the images are correct for my site. All I get is a blank map, and I am sure my problem must be simple! Thanks for your help.
