I'm not a specialist, but i think that if you don't know the bounds of
your image, there is no way for the API to find it for you !
One you have entered the boundaries, the image will follow zoom and
size.

I am actualy working on a page in which i'm periodicaly overlaying a
animated GIF. You could have a look at the code and get an idea.
