The problem is almost certainly in the data, not the processing code, which is why the posting guidlines ask for a link. I don't see what "alert(marker)" is supposed to achieve, though. What happens if you attempt to open your xml file in IE directly? (That is, type the url of my1.php in the address bar of IE) If you can't see anything wrong with the data, or can't understand what actually is wrong with it, you will need to give a link so we can see it.
